Tutorial: Cropping

Cropping an image is a way of improving on the composition of the image by cutting some of it away, or as a method of quickly resizing an image to a known size. For example the image we have used could be improved on by cropping away some of the sky, making the subject look bigger in the image, with less empty sky around it.

Step One.

Find the crop tool on the Tool Window and left click on it once to bring up the crop cursor on your image.
