Step Two
Place the cursor where you want one of the corners to be, we usually use the top left corner, then click and hold down the left mouse button. Pull the crop cursor to where you want the diagonally opposite corner to be located, then let go of the mouse button. You should have a dark shaded area covering the parts of the image that are going to be cropped away, leaving the wanted part of the picture clear in the center.
You can reposition the crop marks either by putting the cursor into the clear area of the image then clicking and holding down the left mouse button, which enables you to now move the crop marks around as a whole, or by clicking and holding down the cursor onto one of the corner or side tabs, which allows you to pull out that edge or corner to a different size.
Once you have selected the area to be cropped, and are happy with your selection, simply let go of the mouse button and the crop marks will stay in place. You can then either go to the Crop Tool in the Tool Window again and click that, which opens a confirmation window where if you choose Crop, your image gets cropped, or more simply right click on the image and choose Crop from the menu that opens.
The Opacity value at the top of the page simply indicates how light or dark the cropped out area will look on the screen.
